Dahlgren Opens New Surface Sensors & Combat Systems Facility

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division helds it’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, May 17th, 2010. The new 56,000 sqft multi-story building will house 130 personnel. The project costs approximately $27 million dollars and was completed ahead of schedule and was built to meet the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification standard. Guest Speakers included Ms. Patricia Hamburger, NAVSEA Director for Warfare Systems Engineering and Human Systems Integrations and the Honorable Rob Wittman, 1st Congressional District of Virginia. King George County is fortunate to have such a high tech laboratory facility.
